Shiriagari Kotobuki - Manga and Ink Breaking Boundaries
This immersive installation transforms a container into a space of massive ink imagination. Japanese artist Shiriagari Kotobuki, famous for the "heta-uma" style, experiments playfully with boundaries between manga and ink painting.

Working as graphic designer before exploring manga and contemporary art connections, he emphasizes raw emotion and improvisation through deliberately rough expression that deconstructs aesthetic standards.

Humorous characters, graffiti-like lines, and unknown scripts scatter throughout the space. This isn't simple manga but "emotional landscape" that crosses boundaries—manga yet more than manga, humor containing deep insight.

Drawings cross walls and ceilings, paper works attach with magnets, making the installation continuously move and change. You'll feel like walking through manga scenes yourself.

His humor transcends simple laughter, becoming language of "neighborliness" where different civilizations and emotions communicate—precisely responding to this biennale's theme.
